Project description

This project aims to transfer the existing simulation tool for on-demand cache architecture to Sniper. We are in the process of creating a new computer architecture that enhances the performance of parallel programs. Currently we have a simulator built as a pin tool and we want to validate that the results we get from the simulator by double checking with a new simulator using Sniper. Also, the pin tool we have right now treats all the non-memory action as one cycle. Sniper allows us to simulate those non-memory actions more realistically so that the results we get will be closer to the real physical architecture. Further down the line, we would also be interested in seeing if the data falls within a certain range if we completely cut off the coherence.
