Project description

The automatic braille tutor is designed to guide the process of learning to write braille for blind children through a complete audio feedback system and six buttons that simulate the braille dots. Through this research, I will investigate the robustness and effectiveness of the automated braille tutor and add functionality to its user interface board. The result of this proposed research will improve the device by increasing its stability and validity, and expand its user group by including advanced braille learner who have the basic idea of braille cell and need more complicated practice. The result of this research will advance the automated braille tutor as a braille teaching tool and in the long term, contribute to enhance the literacy rate among the blind communities.
