Project description

The aim of this project is to create a tool that takes in as an input a file of a list of element names and and their interactions, and translates them into a compact representation. Current models that exist in various databases include commonly used protein names, for e.g. Foxp3, STAT5 or STAT3. However, many of these different sources use different names for the same protein, and in order to automate the process of model development, we need to resolve these names, that is, find their unique IDs. Next, we also need to represent all element interactions in a standardized representation, to facilitate model analysis. For this, we plan to create a tool to translate different models into this standardized representation. Finally, the results of model analysis can be visualized in the form of state transition diagrams, showing changes in the key components and transitions of the model from initial to steady state.
