Project description

Research is focused on robotic assistance, specifically to help put clothes on humans. We are working with the Baxter robot, utilizing the functionality of its two arms and grasping "hands". We are using computer vision through a first generation Kinect to analysis position, depth and key points of the human object, to know how to move and place the clothing item best. The goal of this research is to successfully put a vest on a human standing in front of the robot. Our research team, consisting of myself Selin Sirinterlikci, and Steven Klee, is led by Dr. Manuela Veloso in the Computer Science department at Carnegie Mellon.
